Born and raised in West Virginia, Katie Shields is a 25-year-old entrepreneur, photographer, content creator, and model with a degree in Communications and Public Relations from the University of Alabama. Now married and proudly competing in the Miss USA system, Katie is passionate about encouraging others to take bold leaps of faith through her initiative, Just Start, built around the belief that “ready is a decision, not a feeling.” Through motivational speaking and digital storytelling, she empowers women to pursue their goals fearlessly. As Miss West Virginia USA, Katie hopes to make history as the first married Miss USA representing the Mountain State.
